Aboriginal Youth Worker

The Aboriginal Youth Worker works with Aboriginal youth 8-18 years of age. Support includes transportation, numeracy and literacy training, work preparation, healthy lifestyle choices, return to education or training (culturally appropriate training programs) and court support. The Aboriginal Youth Worker advocates for Aboriginal youth and links them with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal service providers. Assistance is also provided with gaining Aboriginality identification and birth certificates. We work closely with the community, Forster Local Aboriginal Land Council, TAFE, Juvenile Justice and Police.
